Overview: We are searching for a dedicated and hands-on Hotel Manager to oversee all aspects of our clients small hotel near Birmingham Airport. This role entails the direct supervision of various departments including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Cleaning, Maintenance, and Night Audits. The successful candidate will ensure smooth operations, uphold high standards of service, and guarantee guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Management:
- Personally oversee front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries.
- Ensure a welcoming and professional atmosphere is maintained at the front desk area.
- Assist with guest requests and resolve any issues promptly.
- Housekeeping and Cleaning:
- Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure rooms and common areas are cleaned to standard.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and presentation.
- Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies as needed.
- Maintenance:
- Personally address maintenance issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure they are promptly addressed.
- Coordinate with external contractors when required.
- Night Audits:
- Perform night audit procedures personally to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
- Handle any guest concerns or emergencies that arise during the night shift.
- Review daily reports and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Staff Management and Training:
- Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff members.
- Guest Relations:
- Personally engage with guests to ensure their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback and online reviews.
- Implement guest loyalty programs and initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel management or a related field, preferably in a small hotel environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
