We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative for the London Warehouse for Swire Renewable Energy. We offer you a challenging position with an opportunity to influence the safe daily operation of our equipment all over the world. As you will work from our office and warehouse in East London, we are looking for a Warehouse Operative that is based in or close to East London, UK.

We are looking for the right candidate to join our dynamic team and take responsibility for a wide range of warehouse storeroom, equipment maintenance and logistical activities.

Key Areas Of Responsibility

  • Standard working hours of 0900 – 1700 Monday - Friday.
  • Working with an online based inventory software, including tool/equipment registering based on company policy.
  • Vehicle management, including loading and offloading service vans.
  • Kit preparation and packing (physical tasks & computer-based tasks)
  • Shipment preparation
  • General and special cleaning duties in the warehouse/training areas.
  • Other general warehouse storeroom duties (goods in, goods out, stock control, stock take, etc.).

Requirements

  • You are a positive person who looks for solutions to problems.
  • You are practically orientated, organised and able to adapt.
  • We expect you to live in the local area and must be willing to come into the Warehouse on weekends only in case of operational emergencies.
  • Forklift license not essential but preferred.
  • You must be willing to undergo equipment inspection training.
  • Keen to learn new skills like:
    • specialised access equipment (ActSafe Ascenders),
    • inspecting PPE,
    • calibrating tools,
    • PAT testing of power tools
    • COSHH (Control of Substances that are Hazardous to Health)
Skills And Qualifications

  • Valid and clean driving license.
  • Excellent organisational skills and highly efficient.
  • Computer literacy essential – good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Google etc
  • Very good eye for detail.
  • Ability to work & task manage under pressure.
  • Good people skills, a team player but also able to work on their own initiative.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
