Warehouse Assistant – Permanent Full Time
To ensure the safe, careful & efficient inbound/outbound storage and distribution of 6mtr long steel profiles and accessories (locks/gaskets etc) to customers, you will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Warehouse Assistant Duties:
* Ensure all materials are stored, picked and despatched to the customers safely and securely without damage.
* Handle and treat stock in a timely and orderly manner with the use of MHE.
* Ensure warehouse procedures and safety controls are maintained in line with health & safety requirements.
* Upkeep & maintenance of the warehouse area.
* Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending external courses and/or workshops as required.
* Deputising for Warehouse Supervisor for holidays
The Successful Applicant Should have:
* Previous experience of working in a medium sized warehouse essential.
* Having a current Side load fork lift truck license would be an advantage.
* Having a first aid certificate would be an advantage.
* Be physically fit, as manual lifting is required.
* Good people, literate & computer skills, being able to work in a small team within a larger warehouse keeping to time constraints.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
