We are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives within our London locations - Southall and Dagenham
Must be flexible to work between the hours of 04.00am - 19.00pm (Monday to Friday, 10 hour shifts)
***Must have a Full UK Driving Licence***No more than 6 points***

As a Warehouse Operative you will be expected to:
To ensure the integrity of the company’s hire equipment is picked and loaded accurately and efficiently to satisfy the needs of the customer in line with Health and Safety protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintaining all yard and warehouse areas to be safe and operational
- Manage storage of all equipment in the yard and warehouse to ensure safe accessibility
- Ensure all non-fleeted hire tools are marked up with identification or stickers before storing
- Ensure that there are zero-picking errors and uphold standards daily
- Thoroughly and accurately check all paperwork for correct numbers and damages etc.
- Assist with stock checks as and when required by the business
- Supporting other service departments where required to enable better results
- Responsible for picking and preparing customer orders both efficiently and accurately
- Load delivery vehicles with the orders based on number, size, quality and quantity requirements
- Operate the Company vans and support with collections and deliveries from time to time - must be comfortable driving a 3.5t vehicle
- Unload returns/collections and to check for any discrepancies, damage or any areas of concern
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean, tidy and organised at all times
- Follow workplace health and safety rules when handling all equipment

Software Knowledge and Level of Proficiency
- Good computer skills, including MS Office Suite & Outlook
- Syrinx SP experience is advantageous
Essential Selection Criteria
Key needs that we have identified for the person responsible are as follows:
- Abillity to work consistently under pressure
- Previous experience handling tools and equipment/hire desk duties (highly desirable)
- Counterbalance or Reach Truck forklift licence (essential)
- Must have warehouse experience dealing with heavy goods (essential)
- Attributes: Excellent attention to detail, highly organised and very good communication skills
- Good knowledge of the equipment the company hires to its’ customers is advantageous
- Tool Hire Knowledge and Experience (highly desirable)
- Full driving licence (essential)
- Friendly and adaptable attitude
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Lean methodology and continuous improvement (desirable)
- You are mature, upbeat and have excellent attention to detail, have lots of energy, hate to be bored, thrives on completing tasks accurately and uses initiative to support the team. You are self- controlled and a systematic, logical thinker and will complete any job given.
