Job Title - Receptionist
Department - Front of House
Salary - £25,758 per annum
Hours of Work - 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern - Monday – Sunday / 7.5 hours shifts
Contract Type - Permanent

Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment? King Edward VII’s Hospital, one of London’s most prestigious private hospitals, is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our Front-of-House team.

About the role:
As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in representing our hospital. You will greet patients and visitors, manage appointments, and provide information while ensuring that our reception area runs smoothly and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a customer-facing role and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

Key Duties:
Provide a warm and professional greeting to patients, visitors, and staff, offering assistance and information as needed.
Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in scheduling.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls or messages to the appropriate departments
Assist with clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and correspondence to support the Front-of-House team.
Monitor the reception area and enforce hospital security protocols, including issuing visitor passes.
Keep the reception area clean, organised, and stocked with necessary materials.

Key Requirements:
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a front-of-house role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Proficiency in using office software.
A professional and welcoming demeanour, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
