Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in our facilities. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a clean and safe environment for all occupants.

Responsibilities:

  • Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements.
  • You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
  • You will be required to work within a team and can work under their initiative.
  • You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, deliver excellent customer service, and seek ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

Ad-hoc duties:

  • Handling chemical waste – e.g. disposal of jet fuel, desiccant
  • Segregation of waste – recycle, foreign object damage (FOD, Sharpe objects
  • Using high-pressured floor washing equipment – Karcher
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) experience
  • Using Folk lift – for receiving deliveries and moving heavy objects
  • Banksman – to provide guidance when heavy lifting or moving large items
  • Cleaning coffee machine
  • Canteen appliances cleaning and maintenance
  • Handling basic maintenance tasks.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to communicate in basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable, and have a flexible approach to the role. You must also be open, honest, self-driven, and determined while being reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.

Additionally, it is important to have a good understanding and awareness of the 5 standards and how you would apply them in this role.
