Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Assistant / Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, including heavy lifting, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Experience Level: 2+ Years Preferred
Responsibilities:
Competence in inventory management systems and IT knowledge is a must.
Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of fragrances.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch to customers and retailers.
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts.
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including label printing and documentation.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and products.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Honest with DBS clearance.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring that all items are handled safely and efficiently.
- Perform materials handling tasks, including sorting, stacking, and storing products in designated areas.
- Operate hand forklift trolley and other warehouse equipment safely to transport materials within the facility.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing stock to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist in picking and packing orders for dispatch, ensuring timely fulfilment of customer requests.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting of min 2 years is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe handling practices is advantageous.
- Experience operating hand trolley or other material handling equipment is beneficial.
- Basic mechanical knowledge will be an asset in performing maintenance tasks on equipment as needed.
- Understanding of quality control processes and stock management will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
