We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards throughout the packing process.
Responsibilities
Accurately pack products according to specifications and quality standards.
Utilise warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
Conduct quality control checks on packed items to ensure they meet company standards.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organised work area.
Collaborate with team members to improve packing processes and efficiency.
Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring safe handling practices at all times.
Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is advantageous.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for handling equipment used in the packing process.
Experience with stock management, shipping, receiving, materials handling, and quality control will be considered an asset.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
