Duties

• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and making recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote daily specials and new menu items effectively.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to customers.
• Handle basic maths tasks for order processing and cash handling accurately.
• Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure all tasks are completed promptly while maintaining quality service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and order calculations.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
• A friendly and approachable demeanour, with strong communication skills to interact with both customers and team members.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards helping others in the team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's operational needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £11.44 per hour
