Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires physical stamina and a keen attention to detail to maintain our high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move products within the warehouse.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Build and stock shelves with products, maintaining an organised warehouse environment.
- Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and assist with order fulfilment.
- Conduct regular checks on stock levels and report any discrepancies.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment, including forklifts, is advantageous.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of AS400 or similar inventory management systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
