About the role
Are you passionate about warehousing, driving improvement, and delivering excellent service? Join National Gas Metering as a Warehouse Operative as we have 2x roles available.
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in our logistics and recycling operations at Pavilion Drive.
Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, sorting for asset recycling purposes and dispatching goods and materials, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently in line with company policies and procedures. You will also be involved in asset testing, maintaining accurate data records, and using various material handling techniques to support smooth warehouse operations.
This role requires a hands-on approach, where problem-solving and attention to detail are essential. You will work as part of a team, using both current and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and maintain high standards of service. A strong focus on customer experience, teamwork, and personal accountability will help you succeed in this fast-paced environment.
What you’ll need
We’re looking for someone with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to manage their own workload effectively.
Experience with mechanical handling equipment, such as electric pump trucks, counterbalance forklifts or reach trucks would be beneficial. Having basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and experience of using warehouse management systems are also advantageous.
If you don’t have this experience but are otherwise a great fit, full training will be provided. The key qualities we’re looking for are reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This role is based on site at Pavilion Drive, with working hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 2:30 PM finish on a Friday.
