Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while following proper food safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and offering recommendations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately.
- A keen interest in coffee culture and a willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
