Our developing E-commerce department (based at the largest branch in New Southgate) is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the customer experience is as smooth as possible, from the start of the order, to the point of delivery and beyond.

We are looking for a Fulfilment Operative!

This role will include working during unsociable hours and will require starting shifts as early as 4am.

Working Hours:

42.5 hours, 5 Days a week 08:00am-5:00pm

(Working 1 in 3 weekends, with Sunday as paid mandatory overtime).

Our Ideal Candidate:

- Previous experience working within a builders merchants and be familiar with warehouse operations.

- Previous forklift or counterbalance experience

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

- Good communication skills (fluent in verbal & written English)

- Self motivated with a positive attitude

- A team player who has the ability to work unsupervised

- Able to safely carry out manual handling tasks on a daily basis capable of lifting and manoeuvring heavy loads.

- Ability to maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the working area(s).

The main duties of this role will include:

- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.

- Ensuring orders are accurately picked, based on quantity and quality requirements.

- Packing orders following high quality standards.

- Labelling orders correctly ready for dispatch via our various carrier network partners.

- Supporting our Click & Collect services

- Handling materials with care to prevent damage or loss.

- Ensuring customer requirements are met in a timely, controlled and recorded manner.
