Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and orders.
- Perform materials handling tasks including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
- Execute picking and packing duties to prepare items for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist in inventory control.
- Build and assemble products as required for shipping.
- Ensure a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts safely to move heavy items within the warehouse (once trained).
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Skills
- Proficient in materials handling techniques with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong skills in picking and packing processes with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with stock management practices in a warehouse setting.
- Capability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification preferred), but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving.
