Role Overview:
The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for handling, organizing, and moving goods within the warehouse. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, check, and store incoming goods and materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Load and unload vehicles using manual handling or equipment (if trained).
- Maintain stock levels, update records, and report discrepancies.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet truck) where required.
- Follow company health & safety standards and procedures.
- Support team leaders and supervisors with day-to-day warehouse operations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good physical fitness and stamina.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different warehouse tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential).
- Forklift or pallet truck license (advantage, but training can be provided).
- Basic IT skills for stock recording and reporting.
- Minimum high school/secondary education.
