As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the warehouse by receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently. You will ensure all stock is handled with care, maintain a tidy and safe working environment, and support the team in meeting daily targets. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

- Goods In: Receive, check, and unload deliveries, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition. 
- Stock Management: Store goods safely and accurately, maintaining correct stock levels and locations. 
- Order Picking: Accurately pick and pack orders according to company procedures and customer requirements. 
- Dispatch: Prepare and load goods for dispatch, ensuring timely and correct delivery to customers or other sites. 
- Inventory Checks: Carry out regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, following all health and safety guidelines. 
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if trained and certified). 
- Documentation: Complete all relevant paperwork and update warehouse management systems as required.
- Team Support: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily warehouse targets and support other tasks as needed. 

Skills and Experience Required: 

Essential: 

- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately pick, pack, and check goods. 
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills for managing stock and maintaining a tidy workspace. 
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet targets.
- Communication: Good communication skills for working with colleagues and supervisors. 
- Physical Fitness: Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding tasks. 
- Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting. 

Desirable: 

- Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment. 
- Equipment Operation: Experience using warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (with training/certification).
