What you’ll do
As a Barista, you’ll play a key role in the smooth running of our café and coffee, ensuring every drink and interaction meets the highest standards. You’ll take ownership of quality, consistency, and presentation - from bean to cup - while supporting the Café in day-to-day operations.
You’ll:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every guest has a positive experience
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and fresh food in line with GLL standards
- Manage stock levels, place orders, and support regular stocktakes
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring full compliance at all times
- Support training and development of new team members
- Assist with setting up for events and children’s parties when required
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café environment
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience as a Barista
- A genuine passion for coffee, customer service, and creating a welcoming environment
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- The ability to lead by example and inspire others
- Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate (or willingness to achieve this)
- Flexibility to work a rota including weekends and evenings
