Kitchen Assistant Job
Salary - £23,915 per annum
Location - University of Warwick Campus, Coventry
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting Our Chefs: Assisting in the preparation, traying, and plating of food under the guidance of our talented kitchen team.
- Keeping It Sparkling: Cleaning work areas and service equipment to high standards, following our ‘clean as you go’ approach
- Team Player Energy: Working closely with cooks, chefs, and the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service across all outlets.
- Handling Stock: Helping move and store stock safely, using proper manual handling techniques.
- Staying Safe & Compliant: Adhering to food hygiene and safety procedures, including COSHH and allergen awareness.
- Flexible Working
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time basis, despite the position being advertised as full-time.
About You
What We’re Looking For:
- A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Some experience working in a kitchen or food prep role (desirable but not essential, we’ll give you plenty of training).
- An eagerness to be trained in food hygiene, health & safety, and manual handling.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Reliability and confidence working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
