About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team at Luton Sixth Form College. This role involves supporting the daily catering operations and ensuring a high standard of service to students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages in line with portioning and presentation standards
- Prepare food as directed by the Kitchen Manager
- Handle payments and operate tills
- Restock and display merchandise appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness in back-of-house areas and on counters
- Clean light equipment
- Report feedback, complaints, stock needs, faults, or hazards to the line manager
- Complete assigned daily paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Undertake relevant training as required
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a fast-paced catering environment
- Ability to work to timelines and manage tasks efficiently
