Tasks
What will you be responsible for?
- As a Stores Operative, you will handle the receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of aircraft components, including landing gear assemblies, ensuring all processes meet aviation safety and traceability standards.
- You will manage inventory, operate lifting equipment, support stock checks, and work closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering teams.
- Duties include training colleagues where qualified, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in the warehouse environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need?
- GCSE level education (or equivalent)
- Experience in aviation maintenance or a regulated warehouse environment is a plus
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confident communicator, comfortable working independently and in a team
- Ability to pass background checks for secure areas
- Proactive, reliable, and adaptable with a continuous-improvement mindset
- Forklift and overhead crane experience desirable (training provided)
- Basic IT and numeracy skills; ERP or inventory system experience preferred
