Full Time Waste Operative Job
Salary - £12.60 per hour
Location - Leeds
Role Responsibilities:
- Collect, move, sort, process, and dispatch waste and materials across one of Europe's biggest deodorant factories.
- Load/unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and efficiently.
- Respond to adhoc client requests and maintain cleanliness through regular litter picks.
- Complete daily equipment check sheets and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental policies, and waste legislation.
- Lead and champion a safety first mentality.
What we're looking for:
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks safely.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
- Manual handling training and strong literacy/numeracy skills.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and a diligent, safety-first mindset.
- Desirable: experience in the waste industry and use of balers/compactors.
- Valid forklift truck licence.
- Team player with a can do attitude when asked to support colleagues.
