Your New Role…
We are looking for a Sales Planner to take up an instrumental role within a high-pressured sales team at CNNIC, focusing on Africa and CIS/CEE/SE. You’ll play a crucial role in the day to day running of the team and will work across every aspect of the sales business including pitches, proposals to clients, and management of the team assistant and their day-to-day tasks. In this role you will also be responsible for contracts, billing and senior administrative tasks within the team.
Your Role Accountabilities…
- Strategically develop tailored proposals, media schedules, presentations, and supporting documents for specific territories based on client objectives.
- Oversee campaign management from start to finish, optimizing existing campaigns by brainstorming creative ideas, analysing data, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Oversee the numerical upkeep of campaigns, including managing all administrative tasks related to contracting, invoicing, updating forecasts, and tracking payments.
- Assist in the coordination and management of client needs across markets, ensuring seamless communication between clients, sales reps, and internal teams.
- Manage and guide the Sales Assistant to ensure all administrative tasks are handled efficiently, supporting the Sales Manager, Account Directors, and Sales team.
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets to monitor the progress of proposals, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate reporting.
- Ensure the smooth running of active campaigns, providing regular updates to clients and reps, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Stay updated on the competitive landscape, monitoring international networks, print media, and relevant local/regional broadcasters to identify new opportunities.
- Work with creative and production teams to ensure that all advertising materials are aligned with the media plan and client expectations
Qualifications & Experience…
- Previous experience in media or advertising, preferably within a sales planning or account management role
- Strong understanding of the global media landscape and key industry trends
- Exceptional Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Ability to guide the team’s sales assistant, and be managed by the Director in the region
- English language skills are essential, French/Spanish/Portuguese/Italian would be an advantage
