Kitchen Porter at Crazy Pizza
As a Kitchen Porter at Crazy Pizza, you will assist the kitchen team by ensuring that all equipment and kitchen utensils are clean and available for use, and that the kitchen adheres to strict hygiene standards. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a busy kitchen environment and be part of a dynamic culinary team.
Your day to day:
- Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized.
- Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation.
- Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries.
- Keep the food and supply storage areas organized.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, ensuring that the kitchen maintains the highest cleanliness standards.
- During busy service times, assist with cleaning and resetting workstations and kitchen equipment to ensure smooth service.
Who are you?
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards supporting the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service times.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn new skills, with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, with a commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurant’s schedule.
